Main Application
Those adhesives are specifically used in the shoe industry for bonding different types of plastic soles to different types of artificial leather uppers.
- The sole and the upper surfaces should be properly cleaned from oil – dust or other contaminations using a special cleaning solvent.
- Proper cleaning of the surfaces is very important for obtaining good bonding.
- The adhesive is applied on both surfaces and left to dry completely before both surfaces are heated in special ovens to (60-85) °C and then pressed together under special presses used by shoe manufactures.
